The Japanese brand just introduced the revamped Honda N-Box Slash, a styling upgrade for one of its Kei Cars to the local market. This Honda model was the latest to arrive at the N series – accompanied by the N-One, N-WGN and N-Box – just two years ago and with a design focus quite different from the retro style of the original version. Now, the Honda N-Box Slash undergoes an upgrade featuring a new interior trim, more equipment, wheels and external color options. The new Trekking interior finish is focused on outdoor activities, and includes a new window treatment that reduces UV and IR radiation as well as adding more USB inputs. Buyers can choose from 16 paint schemes in two shades and 25 smooth colors (including three new ones), as well as six in-house packages. According to Japanese regulations, all Kei Cars must be powered by 660 cc motors, so in this case the brand has chosen a tri-cylinder available in both the natural and turbo charged versions, which sends power to the front axle or four-wheel drive by means of a continuously variable drive. Its price in Japan starts at 1,320,000 yen, which equals just over 42,000 reais.
2017 – HONDA CLARITY FUEL CELL
The Honda Clarity Fuel Cell is powered by a fuel cell with a power output of over 100 kW – 134 hp. The main feature is related to its fuel cell which is about 33% lower compared to the previous generation, to the point that its size is comparable to Honda’s V6 engine. This allowed the system to be placed under the hood. This solution allowed playing with the spaces to achieve an excellent occupation, with an interior allowing to correctly accommodate up to five occupants. The electric motor has a maximum power of 130 kW (174 hp), achieving at the same time an autonomy that exceeds 700 km, significantly higher than its most direct competitor, since the Toyota Mirai reaches the 500 km of autonomy. The fuel cell has a high-capacity hydrogen storage tank, which can be refueled in about three minutes, about the same time as it takes to fill the tank of a conventional vehicle.
2017 – HONDA CR-V
The Honda CR-V is one of the most important models in the Japanese brand’s product line, and in its fifth generation arrives with larger dimensions and an exterior design that evolves in format of the previous model, which will allow you to compete in better conditions with your segment rivals. In terms of design, it maintains the traits of the previous model, adds some touches of the latest models, such as the Civic, LED headlights and a new active grille, which opens or closes depending on the cooling needs of the engine, allowing to improve its coefficient. Its slightly larger dimensions have allowed it to improve its interior, while the passenger compartment has a more contemporary design. 2017 – HONDA GIENIA
Honda presented the new Gienia at the Chengdu Hall in China. This is a liftback version of Honda City, initially only available for the Chinese market.
The new Honda Gienia uses the Honda City platform and is based on the Honda B prototype that was shown at the Beijing Motor Show in 2014. The Gienia measures 4,517 mm in length, 1,705 mm in width, 1,477 mm in height, and has a distance between -2600 mm axles. In terms of aesthetics it presents a front that highlights its large grid with chrome frames, main headlights with integrated daytime LED lights and antinebline headlights. At the rear is where the biggest differences arise in relation to City, with a liftback design that includes a glass rear cover, a large airfoil, taillights that cover the entire width of the car and flashlights antineblina integrated in the bumper and surrounded by a chrome frame. The equipment includes keyless access, front and rear parking sensors, rear view camera, electric sunroof, blind spot alert, range maintenance alert, large touch screen infotainment system, leather upholstery, light alloy, etc. So far they have not released the technical data, but possibly use the 1.5-liter i-VTEC gasoline engine 129 hp, coupled with a five-speed manual or automatic CVT type, a configuration already used by several Honda models on the market Chinese.
2017 – HONDA NEUV CONCEPT
The Honda NeuV Concept is a pure electric prototype whose idea is to propose an innovative form of mobility with an emotional motor that learns from the driver. NeuV stands for ‘New Electric Urban Vehicle’ and was conceived taking into account that private vehicles are 96% of their average lifespan on average. The concept of NeuV is to operate as a shared vehicle when the owner is not using it. The model will pick up and leave customers at the destination, as well as being able to sell electricity to the grid when it is idle, making the downtime even more profitable. That is, financially the car can pay itself with these services of sharing and selling energy when it is not being used.
In addition to all this, the NeuV functions as a personal assistant, thanks to the emotional engine called HANA (Honda Automated Network Assistance) that learns from the driver, detecting the emotions that are implied in their judgments and actions. HANA can apply what it learns from decisions made by the driver to help make new choices and recommend other procedures.
To facilitate the experience, the NeuV has a large touch panel that the driver and passenger can access, the visibility to the exterior is optimized by a panoramic windshield and a waist line that allows wide visibility in parking maneuvers. Access is made through two doors that open outward and backward through a complex system. Generously sized doors that leave the entire interior exposed, thus facilitating access. The NeuV has two seats plus cargo space.
2017 – HONDA NSX
Honda took advantage of its recent presence at the Estoril Autodrome in Portugal to test the latest generation of the Honda NSX and photograph its iconic supersport for official release. With a planned arrival in European markets in the fall, the Japanese super sports car combines a three-block V6 petrol engine (SH-AWD: Super Handling All-Wheel Drive) for a total power of 573 hp and a torque of 646 Nm. To accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h the new NSX only needs 3.0 seconds and can reach the maximum speed of 308 km / h. In terms of consumption, Honda announces 9.7 km / l in the city, 10.1 km / l on the road and 10 km / l combined, emitting 228 g / km of CO2. Inside, the leather and Alcantara trim uses state-of-the-art technology with a 8.0-inch TFT touchscreen, plus a premium audio system, dual zone air conditioning and connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto among many others.
2017 – HONDA NSX BY LIBERTY WALK
It was in January that Liberty Walk announced that its next project would be based on Honda NSX. Now, after nine months, comes the final result of his work, and as usual in other projects of the Japanese preparer, draws attention wherever he goes. It draws particular attention to the fact that for the hybrid sportsman chose not to use one of the most usual elements of their preparations. These are oversized wheel arches with rivets that pop into view, something that has become the hallmark of the house in recent years. Despite this, it has a specific body kit made of parts made of carbon fiber, which are also available in fiber with reinforced plastic. The new elements range from the front spoiler to the large rear airfoil, through the larger side skirts and the new diffuser. In addition, wear Forgiato wheels in black and silver colors, although do not rule out that when presented at the SEMA Show 2017 show another design for the wheels. In the mechanical part there are only minor modifications like an exhaust system developed by the Fi Exhaust and the pneumatic suspension created for NSX by Airrex. It maintains intact its supercharged 3.56 V6 engine with 506 hp and 550 Nm of torque, supported by a small electric motor of 50 hp and 135 Nm, to which are added two others located in the front axle and that provide 40 hp and 72 Nm each.
2017 – HONDA RIDGELINE
The Honda Ridgeline is being unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show in 2016 and will become one of the great new features of the American show: the average pickup with which Honda will enter the fray in one of the most exciting and growing segments in the United States. Although huge pickups, such as the Ford F-150, continue to be America’s favorite options, the average segment each day has more followers and virtually all major brands in the United States have already launched some model focused on this segment. The Honda Ridgeline has in its handle of sight the Toyota Tacoma and the Chevrolet Colorado. In order to face the two, the second generation Honda Ridgeline arrives with a more modern design inspired directly by the brand’s SUVs, such as the Honda CR-V. However, his style risks the least, with the body coming up with a very simple appearance, without aesthetic bragging, where the straight lines are the protagonists.
In terms of size, the Honda Ridgeline 2017 grows in almost all dimensions: it is 13.7 cm wider and 10 cm longer. The load capacity of the rear bucket grows up to 725 kg. The material with which the hopper is covered allows for a safer load with a completely flat surface. The Honda Ridgeline will be exclusively equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine and a six-speed automatic transmission. For the first time, the Ridgeline can rely on front-wheel drive or full-power, to the liking of the customer. The integral traction system will have four operating modes: normal, sand, snow and mud. But in addition to the practical elements of this type of vehicle, used on many occasions for work, the Honda Ridgeline features comfort elements such as a 540-watt audio system, an 8-inch touch screen compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and a button start system. In terms of safety, the Honda Ridgeline 2017 comes equipped with all the expected systems of a current car: unintentional shift warning system, collision warning, multi-angle camera, among others. Like the previous model, the Honda Ridgeline was developed exclusively by Honda’s development department in the United States and will be manufactured at the brand’s plant in Lincoln, Alabama.
